On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, Batman and most of the newbies are told to Get Out as Jordan Peele's fresh flick takes down everyone. The competition is fierce this week because the new arrivals include the afterlife, a god, and the Wolverine. This battle's gonna be nuts.
In home entertainment, it's another short slate headlined by Doctor Strange as Marvel continues Phase III. Academy Award-winning Best Picture Moonlight comes to disc as Collateral Beauty hits digital, and the Tanners bring Fuller House from TV to DVD. After a beastly look at retro classics, Denise goes wild with news before closing the cage door on another edition of the Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, Batman defeats his foes as Presidents' Day Weekend becomes a rough one for new releases. This week, the Caped Crusader will face a rocking dog, a race along the Autobahn, and an interracial romantic comedy as he fights to maintain the cape and cowl of number one movie in the nation. Can it be done?
In home entertainment, it's a short slate across the board, highlighted by the debut of Doctor Mysterio on shelves. Denise brings news about Guardians of the Galaxy, Rufio's Hook prequel, Bryan Cranston on Better Call Saul, and more before bringing things to a close on this edition of the Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.

It's love, true love on an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex as the sluggish year gets a reboot with three new releases in the top three spots. LEGO Batman will have his hands full fighting mythic monsters as Hollywood and China join forces at The Great Wall. Does the Caped Crusader have the power to break a wall not made of plastic bricks, or can he rely on the undying love of the fans to keep him on top?
In home entertainment, several titles make their debut, including the sci-fi darling Arrival and, on digital, Marvel's newest dimension-beinding wizard. TV on DVD brings drama and crime fighting, the latter with an addiction to lollipops, along with the Starship Enterprise in HD. Raquel Welch caps it off with a trip to the stone age before Denise gives us the lowdown on how Baby Groot is a jerk. After that, we put a bow on this Valentine's Day edition of the Weekly Podioplex because we choo-choo-choose you. Either that, or we shot you with Cupid's arrows again. That cherub really needs to quit leaving his weapons lying around The Chronic Rift Network.

Welcome to February with all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex. With Split earning a box office turkey and all of the new releases acting more like Falcons than Patriots, we have to wonder if the Caped Crusader can break through the brick wall and score a win. Joining him (and Robin, if we continue the avian theme) are John Wick and fifty more shades of Fifty Shades. Nothing says Valentines like LEGOs, violence, and hyperbolic BDSM.
In home entertainment, we start with a completely different kind of Loving, followed by Trolls, political fallout, and the dark side of the Justice League. The digital and TV slates are pretty sparse, but classics on Blu-Ray make up for it as we say goodbye to Carrie Fisher with a loose semi-autobiographical salute. Wrap it up with Denise and news of Star Wars vinyls, Game of Thrones beverages, and a wee spot of, shall we say, alternative facts in the Quick Flicks, and we bring this edition of The Weekly Podioplex to close. It's all yours for free, courtesy of The Chronic Rift Network.

It's the end of January on an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, and while we wonder where the month has gone, the box office newbies were Split across the board. As he continues to seek redemption from moviegoers, M. Night Shyamalan has some contenders this week with The Space Between Us and Ring
s. Yes, it's another visit to the short film about a girl who crawls out of well on a weekly basis to kill. We can empathize. Except for the crawling out a well. And the killing. So, basically with the weekly basis bit.
Anyway, in home entertainment, Jack Reacher doesn't listen to his titles, Madea says boo, Disney crowns the Queen of Katwe, and Arrival arrives on digital. Television titles welcome Penny Dreadful, Queen Victoria, and the return of two classic sci-fi favorites. Add in the boy without strings on a new blu-ray for a nice finish to the month.
What? You want more? Denise has just the thing with Marvel meet-ups and Star Wars stories, bringing January to fantastic finale on The Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, the box office was dominated by two of the three newcomers. In particular, it was a good weekend for an oft-ridiculed filmmaker and his new title Split. This week brings an end to the apocalypse of Resident Evil, smiles with A Dog's Purpose, and a quest for Gold. Can M. Night Shyamalan protect his win?
In home entertainment, it's a short slate with symbology, monsters, trolls, and detectives. Sherlock comes home, as do two classics including a David Bowie alien film. Denise tops it all off with a variety of news, and we draw things to a close on The Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, it was a holiday weekend, but if you were a new release, it was a bad one. Hidden Figures defeated everyone, the Rebellion broke the half-billion mark, and Hollywood is hoping beyond hope that the return of Xander Cage in a fifteen year revival of xXx can put a stop to all of it. It's January, so we shall see.
In home entertainment, audiences are treated to a variety of films including Roger Corman's newest: Death Race 2050. Jack Reacher goes back (even though the title warned him not to) on digital, Rizzoli & Isles says farewell on TV, and the classics take Two For the Road. Denise shakes things up with a discussion of remakes that you never knew you wanted but are getting anyway, drawing this new edition of The Weekly Podioplex to a close on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, it was a tight race for first place as the East Coast got frozen out with winter storms. That's bad news for the Rebellion, but good news for Hidden Figures. This week, the box office celebrates Friday the 13th with monsters of various sizes, including growling trucks, haunting figures, terrorists, and criminals.
In home entertainment, 2016 continues to clean house with a variety of titles, from teenage superheroes and mafia accountants to historical dramas and comedy acts. TV on DVD keeps things rolling with political intrigue, hackers, and bold adventures in the final frontier. Denise brings this week's finale with a tribute to Debbie Reynolds and a spoiler-free review of Sing, closing the curtain on this new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.

Happy New Year! On the first 2017 edition of The Weekly Podioplex, the rebels are celebrating with turkey as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story makes it three victories in a row. The Rebellion turns its sights on the vampires, lycans, and tree monsters as this week's new releases go supernatural. The newcomers have the advantage of box office fatigue, but Rogue One still carries the Star Wars banner. Who will win?
In home entertainment, a few late 2016 titles come to disc and streaming, as well as Bones, Sleepy Hollow, and The Librarians in TV on DVD. We cap off the new slate with a twenty-year old Jerry Maguire asking you to show him your hard-earned cash, alongside the original Gone in 60 Seconds. Denise takes it home with a tribute to Carrie Fisher and a spoiler-free review of Rogue One, putting the cap on this new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an brand new double-digest holiday edition of The Weekly Podioplex, the rebels are in charge as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story won the weekend in grand fashion. Disney and Lucasfilm face a Death Star-sized challenge as 2016 comes to a close as four major contenders arrive just in time for one of the top movie holidays. Can the rebels withstand firepower of that magnitude? In home entertainment, several late summer and early fall titles make their debut just in time for gift-giving, and they make the majority of the slate. Television takes a break, and horror takes over the high-def titles from the past. We wrap up the show with Denise and the Quick Flicks, and we wrap up the year with this final 2016 edition of The Weekly Podioplex, brought to you on The Chronic Rift Network.
