The Falling Woman Winner of the Nebula Award: An archaeologist with a strange power risks death to unlock the secret of the Mayans When night falls over the Yucatan, the archaeologists lay down their tools. But while her colleagues relax, Elizabeth Butler searches for shadows. A famous scientist with a reputation for eccentricity, she carries a strange secret. Where others see nothing but dirt and bones and fragments of pottery, Elizabeth sees shades of the men and women who walked this ground thousands of years before. She can speak to the past—and the past is beginning to speak back. As Elizabeth communes with ghosts, the daughter she abandoned flies to Mexico hoping for a reunion. She finds a mother embroiled in the supernatural, on a quest for the true reason for the Mayans’ disappearance. To dig up the truth, the archaeologist who talks to the dead must learn a far more difficult skill: speaking to her daughter.

(RIGHT CLICK IMAGE TO SAVE EPISODE TO YOUR COMPUTER.) Over five years ago, John created an audio drama series with the intention of making it a regular occurrence. It didn't happen, but now John is almost done with his grad school work and can devote his time more to a project such as this. Because of that, he is releasing the first five episodes to get everyone on board with the story. Take a moment to comment here or by writing john@chronicrift.com. In 1977, the United States government determined that one in every ten million Americans was gifted with a paranormal ability. It immediately set up a commission to look into the growing phenomenon. It was decided that a special, top-secret research facility was needed to study the matter further. Today, in a world where the paranormal is normal, the unexpected happens within the walls of The Dome. "Headgames" - Jared is the latest case study for the researchers of The Dome. There is a major concern as his abilities are similar to the late Dr. Sullivan. Meanwhile, Anne and Helen are combing through the late doctor's papers and discover some shocking details about his plans for world domination. Think of this episode as a .5 episode. It's a shorter story that acts as a bridge between the full length dramas in the series. Cast Andrea K. Lipinski, Orenthal V. Hawkins, John S. Drew, Susan Drew, Anna Ackley and Edd Drew Written by John S. Drew Produced and Drected by John S. Drew Theme music and episode score by Lenny Ackley
