Graeme Harper was originally a child actor, appearing in adaptations of "The Silver Sword" and "The Pickwick Papers" amongst other productions, before becoming a floor assistant at the BBC in 1965 and then an assistant floor manager in 1969. He worked on the Doctor Who adventures "Colony in Space," "Planet of the Daleks," "Planet of the Daleks" and "Planet of the Spiders" during the Jon Pertwee years, and "The Seeds of Doom" and "Warriors' Gate" in the Tom Baker era. In 1980 Harper started on the BBC's director's course. "The Caves of Androzani" was the first job he got as a freelance director after working on "Angels" for Julia Smith. Harper went on to direct one further Doctor Who story, "Revelations of the Daleks," and was also to have directed the third story in the abandoned season twenty-three which would have been either Philip Martin's "Mission to Magnus" or Robert Holmes's "Yellow Fever and How to Cure It." Harper went on to work on shows such as "District Nurse," "Hope and Glory," "Star Cops," "Boon," "The House of Windsor," "The Bill," "The House of Elliot" and "september Song" and is one of the industry's most sought after directors. In 1993 he was scheduled to direct "The Dark Dimension," an ultimately un-made thirtieth anniversary Doctor Who story.

Her first mission: return to the Delta Quadrant and open diplomatic relations with the Confederacy of the Worlds of the First Quadrant, a civilization whose power rivals that of the Federation. Captain Chakotay knows that his choices could derail the potential alliance. While grateful to the Confederacy Interstellar Fleet for rescuing the Federation starships from an alien armada, Voyager’s captain cannot forget the horrors upon which the Confederacy was founded. More troubling, it appears that several of Voyager’s old adversaries have formed a separate and unlikely pact that is determined to bring down the Confederacy at all costs. (RIGHT CLICK THE IMAGE TO SAVE THIS EPISODE TO YOUR COMPUTER) Oscar authorizes the reactivation of Barney Hiller (Miller) as an experiment to see if it is possible to activate and reactivate bionic units when needed. Steve objects, but it is too late. For Barney, it's an opportunity to get back on the race track as he's lost his edge ever since his accident. When this doesn't work, Barney lashes out in frustration at his potential sponsor nearly killing him. Barney is unaware that the man survived and is blackmailed by a former OSI scientist to commit crimes. Can Steve find Barney without doing an "I told you so" dance for Oscar and Rudy? What's the deal with the name change? And what's the deal with Rudy? These questions and perhaps a few more will be answered in this episode of Cyborgs: A Bionic Podcast. Joining John and Paul is Time Life Six Million Dollar Man DVD Collection consultant Matt Hankinson. Comment on the episode here or write abionicpodcast@gmail.com. Rating: The Six Million Dollar Blog entry (coming soon)
Matt Hankinson writes, "Besides the Time-Life DVD release of SMDM (for which I served as "chief creative consultant"), I had previously worked with Herbie J Pilato on his long-in-development The Bionic Book, and served as consultant and wrote the episode copy for Rittenhouse Archive's 2004 Six Million Dollar Man trading card series. I also attended both Bionicon conventions (2006 & 2007) and several of Lindsay Wagner's fan events. With the exception of Lee Majors, I've been fortunate to have met all the cast members and producer Kenneth Johnson. I've known both Paul and Joe from our years at the online forum, and have met Paul in-person at the Bionicons and Lindsay's events.
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I've been a HUGE fan of both bionic shows since I first saw the SMDM pilot movie when I was seven years old. It's literally been a life-long fascination and dedication for me. Getting to work so extensively on the SMDM DVD release was like a dream-come-true, and being able to bring a few friends along for the ride made it extra special."
