The voyage of radio genius continues with a new episode. Starting out as The Pirate Ship in the 90s, the boys charted the rough waters of the early days of the Internet and managed to deliver comedy gold week after week. They were one of the inspirations for The Chronic Rift becoming a podcast. Last fall, Dan & Travis reunited with a new podcast, bringing back many of the elements of the original Pirate Ship, and John has been on their case to join the network ever since. The journey continues through the new Cosmos TV show, prog rock pride is looked at in "Rush to Judgment", and a discussion on least popular baby names are all here in addition to Travis with the news and another round of Impossible Travia. We’re off to the village of Roarton, Lancashire, setting for the BBC3 zombie television series IN THE FLESH! Created and written by Dominic Mitchell and now entering its second year, this show offers a truly fresh (if such a word can be used for zom…sorry Amy, the “Redeemed!”) take on the genre. Kieren Walker is one of many that inexplicably rose from the grave seeking the brains of the living, and now thanks to a special medication he has regained his former personality and rejoined his family along with many other PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) sufferers. But in a world struggling to integrate these “Rotters” back into society – and wondering if they even should – the living and the undead alike walk the Earth seeking answers amid a new reality of discrimination, hatred, and fear.
