Robbie Rist was born and raised in California. He knew at an early age that he wanted to act and was allowed to by his supportive parents provided he never lost sight of who he was. His parents also developed a love of music in Robbie that continues to this day.
As a child actor, Robbie appeared in numerous television shows - The Brady Bunch, The Bionic Woman, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Galactica 1980 and many more. His angelic looks also carried with it a little devil on the side that he played to great advantage in many of his roles.
As Robbie got older, he continued to work in television and branched out into the world of voice acting. He was the voice of the Michaelangelo in the orginal Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies. He has lent his vocal talents to many animated series and features as well as video games such as Final Fantasy and Zach Bell. He is currently performing as the voice of "Stuffy" in the highly popular Disney animated series Doc McStuffins.
Robbie's music career is as vast and varied as his acting career. He has performed as the lead singer, guitarist, bassist and/or drummer for several Los Angeles rock bands, including Wonderboy, The Andersons (band), Cockeyed Ghost, Nice Guy Eddie, and Steve Barton and the Oblivion Click. The list of west coast pop bands Rist has performed with numbers is in the hundreds. He divides his time between film and music production, performing with Los Angeles alt-country band KingsizeMaybe and rock band Jeff Caudill & The Goodtimes Band (with Jeff Caudill of Orange County punk band Gameface and Michael "Popeye" Vogelsang of Orange County punk band Farside). Robbie has also produced a number of records for bands, including Suzy & Los Quattro, Backline, Ginger Britt and the Mighty, Jeff Caudill, Steve Barton and the Oblivion Click, Nice Guy Eddie, Kingsizemaybe and The Mockers. Rist produced the Rubinoos album Automatic Toaster and played drums on that album. He currently is the drummer for Your Favorite Trainwreck.
Robbie also hosts a podcast called The Spoon, "Join hosts Robbie Rist, Chris Jackson, and Thom Bowers, in their quest to understand the wide world around them and the insane people who populate it. Jumping through conversational hyperlinks like a trio of cats playing with a laser pointer, their mission is to separate the stuff from the stuff while providing a generous dose of broadcast irritainment."

Jim Arrowood's Interview with Nicholas Eftimiades (Jim's SciFi Blog)
I first learned about Edward Of Planet Earth and the author Nicholas Eftimiades by listening to an interview on the Scifi Diner Podcast. The idea intrigued me, so I went to Amazon.com and downloaded for my Kindle and began reading. I enjoyed the story and posted about it on this blog.
Nick was very appreciative that I would review his book on this blog and we began our on-line friendship. A few weeks ago, I contacted Nick to see if he might be interested in an interview. He was more than happy to accommodate me, so here it is. We talked about Edward and his two other non-fiction books on Chinese intelligence, and on how we Americans are viewed by people in other countries. But the discussion was not just limited to books, we also discussed the future implications of the evolution of our technology.
Those who are interested in learning more about Nicks Books can visit anywhere books are sold on-line. He can also be found on-line on his blog. Recently, he posted an article on his blog that outlines the intelligence implications of the Battle of Yavin in Star Wars. This was an interesting analytical look at Star Wars and a fun read. We also visited about The Federation of Galaxy Explorers, a non-profit organization intended to promote interest in space exploration in school aged children and young adults.

"Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar" starred Bob Bailey as "the man with the action-packed expense account." A freelance insurance investigator, Dollar was called in to investigate burglaries and suspicious deaths. If he could recover the item or solve a murder, the insurance company might not have to pay off. In exchange, Dollar got a commission, and, of course, his expenses reimbursed. The show shifted from a weekly half-hour to 15 minutes five days a week. This time host Kevin Lauderdale presents all five episodes of one of Dollar's most unusual cases.

International best-selling author Keith R.A. DeCandido was born, raised, educated, and still lives in the Bronx. His Mom and Dad fed him a steady diet of Robert A. Heinlein, Ursula K. Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, and P.G. Wodehouse, which corrupted him for life -- not only instilling in him a great love of science fiction, fantasy, and silly British humor, but also likely being responsible for his pretentious insistence on using both his middle initials all the time.
Keith has published over thirty novels, most of them in the realm of media tie-ins. The majority of his work has appeared in the worlds of Star Trek: Keith has written novels, novellas, comic books, short stories, and eBooks, and also edited several anthologies that cover all five TV shows as well as several prose-only series -- one of which, the Corps of Engineers eBook series, he co-developed. Several of his Trek novels have hit the USA Today best-seller list, and received critical acclaim from all over the map, both online and in print. Keith edited the monthly Star Trek eBook line from 2001 until the line came to an end in 2008.
He has also written in the worlds of Blizzard Games, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Command and Conquer, CSI, Doctor Who, Farscape, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, Marvel Comics, Supernatural, Young Hercules, and many more.
In 2004, Dragon Precinct, Keith's first non-tie-in novel, was published. It's a police procedural in a standard elves/dwarves/magic fantasy setting -- picture Law & Order meets Lord of the Rings. Stories in the same setting have appeared in the anthologies Murder by Magic, Hear Them Roar, Bad-Ass Faeries, and Pandora's Closet.
Keith's editorial career started in college -- serving on Fordham University's award-winning alternative newspaper, called, simply, the paper -- and includes a stint at Library Journal magazine and five years as an editor for the late Byron Preiss and his various companies (Byron Preiss Visual Publications, Byron Preiss Multimedia, BP Books, and ibooks inc.). Among his accomplishments in the latter job were editing a highly successful line of novels based on Marvel Comics's super heroes and helping bring Alfred Bester back into print.
From 1998-2006, Keith owned and operated the company Albé-Shiloh Inc., a provider of writing and editing services. ASI's most visible project was the Nebula Award-nominated anthology of original novelettes called Imaginings: An Anthology of Long Short Fiction. Keith has edited over a dozen anthologies since 1995, from the acclaimed OtherWere: Stories of Transformation in 1996 to the Star Trek anthologies Tales of the Dominion War and Tales from the Captain's Table in 2004-2005 to Doctor Who: Short Trips: The Quality of Leadership in 2008.
For four glorious years, Keith worked on The Chronic Rift, a New York City public access talk show on SF, fantasy, comics, gaming, and other genre issues. Working with his best friend, Executive Producer and Director John S. Drew, Keith was cohost and Producer of the Rift, doing 100 half-hour episodes that aired in New York from 1990-1994.
Keith is a professional musician, currently the percussionist for the parody band the Boogie Knights. He's played on five CDs. From 1996-2000, he was with the Don't Quit Your Day Job Players, and besides his gigs with the Knights, he has been occasionally active in New York City clubs, backing up the Randy Bandits, Steve Rosenhaus, and the late David Honigsberg.
Besides all this, Keith is a student of Kenshikai karate (a brown belt, as of February 2008), and an amateur actor and voiceover actor (you can hear his work on some of the audio dramas produced and directed by his erstwhile Chronic Rift cohort John S. Drew).

Pat Murphy
Pat Murphy has won numerous awards for her thoughtful, literary science fiction and fantasy writing, including two Nebula Awards, the Philip K. Dick Award, the World Fantasy Award, the Seiun Award, and the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award. She has published eight novels and many short stories. Her works include Rachel in Love; The Falling Woman; The City, Not Long After; Nadya; and Adventures in Time and Space with Max Merriwell, a novel that Publishers Weekly called the “cerebral equivalent of a roller-coaster ride.” Her children’s novel, The Wild Girls, received a Christopher Award in 2008. In addition to writing fiction, Pat writes about science for children and adults.
The Falling Woman

Over five years ago, John created an audio drama series with the intention of making it a regular occurrence. It didn't happen, but now John is almost done with his grad school work and can devote his time more to a project such as this. In 1977, the United States government determined that one in every ten million Americans was gifted with a paranormal ability. It immediately set up a commission to look into the growing phenomenon. It was decided that a special, top-secret research facility was needed to study the matter further. Today, in a world where the paranormal is normal, the unexpected happens within the walls of The Dome.
"Headgames" - Jared is the latest case study for the researchers of The Dome. There is a major concern as his abilities are similar to the late Dr. Sullivan. Meanwhile, Anne and Helen are combing through the late doctor's papers and discover some shocking details about his plans for world domination.
Think of this episode as a .5 episode. It's a shorter story that acts as a bridge between the full length dramas in the series.
