An unknown force seems to have taken over the TARDIS and rocks the Doctor and his companions about so that they all pass out. When they come to, there is confusion, doubt, and eventually mistrust, especially from the Doctor. But meanwhile there are other strange things going on. The TARDIS continues to show a stream of stellar images on the scanner that culminates in an explosion and all the time pieces on the ship have been distorted in horrifying ways. What is happening and can the Doctor work it out before the TARDIS is destroyed?
This is a sharp two-part story that allowed for more time in the preparation of the next major serial, "Marco Polo". Listen in as John points out the good and the bad in this quick story review.

The TARDIS lands on a dead alien world. But is it really dead? Susan swears something brushed up against her and then there's the alien city the Doctor wants to explore. Perhaps there's something to explain what happened to world. The Doctor is willing to risk everything to explore it. And when they discover there is life, it's not friendly.
John takes a look at the second story in the first series of Doctor Who, "The Daleks" and offers his thoughts on why he thinks this is one of the better Dalek stories that have been made in the show's 50 year history.
