For our second set of Christmas-themed episodes this month, we start off with The Jack Benny Program.  Jack does one of his traditional holiday-shopping episodes.  As always, he tries to go cheap, and he bumps into a lot of the show’s regulars doing their shopping as well. Then, on Have Gun – Will Travel, Christmas Eve finds Paladin interceding between an Indian chief and a White rancher who insists that the chief’s son is actually his boy, stolen many years ago.

Meet Z NATION‘s “Doctor of the Dead” in their action-packed Season 1 finale! That’s right, the big wrap-up to a year of new zombie TV excitement shares OUR show name, and the Doctor himself (no, not that one, THIS one) joins Scott in a BUMPER length episode to chat about this wonderful coincidence as well as how far Z NATIONhas come in just 13 episodes. Will a detour to Colorado spell the end of our little survivors’ group? Will any of them make it out alive from the ‘Hall of Horrors?’ Will we ever see Mack and Addy again? And will Murphy emerge as the King of the Zombies at last?

ALSO: Your listener letters and comments! Discussion of the live tweeting that took place when the show aired! And news on Arnold’s forthcoming appearance at WALKER STALKER CON NY/NJ!

Here's how Tim describes this episode:

"Before this interview I knew nothing about knitting which is why I was so excited to conduct it. Nine years ago this week, Sammi Kat out of New Orleans, LA, picked up the hobby of knitting and he’s never looked back. Sammi was going through a particular rough patch and while convalescing from surgery, he took up knitting to keep himself busy and sane. With a chill in the air this time of year, Sammi’s knitting stories are here to warm you up like a comforting glass of port.

In Episode 23 of the Express, Sammi tells us all about his journey which is an inspiring reminder that creative endeavors can be a great antidote to many of life’s woes. He also has stories about who the knitting community is – hint: it’s not just the stereotype of old ladies on sofas. A lot of mold was broken when Sammi was made. He’s one of my most outspoken and unique friends and I’m delighted he took time for this very fun & informative listen. Enjoy."

Aired November 16/17, 1966

The Joker is back in Gotham City and his latest crime spree involves keys of all types.  But there doesn't seem to be any real pattern to the Joker's scheme, even when he develops a box that allows him to control time.  Can Batman and Robin unlock the mystery of this case or will it be too much even for them?

Joining John to discuss this disjointed episode is Gary Mitchel of The Revcastand DragonCon's American Sci-Fi Classics Track.

Get your hands on the Batman 66 series via our link here on Amazon.  In doing so, you not only have this excellent, remastered set that you can watch and follow along the podcast with, but you support the podcast as well.

Gary is also a frequent panelist at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, where he is the Co-Director of the American Sci-Fi Classics Track. There, he has discussed Sci-Fi TV, zombies, movies, video games, zombies, cartoons, comics and zombies. Some attendees have stated that he is “hilarious,” and Gary swears that said people are not related to him.

Tonight's Menu

Teryl Rothery

Teryl Rothery (born November 9, 1962) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her role as Dr. Janet Fraiser on Stargate SG-1.

Rothery first became interested in a performing career when she danced in the musical, Bye Bye Birdie, at the age of thirteen.

Rothery knew that she belonged in front of the camera when she played in the CBC halloween special, Boo, at the age of eighteen. In her teens, being a talented dancer, singer and musician, she was a performer on a North Vancouver-shot TV variety show starring Tom Jones. She is best known for her starring role of Dr. Janet Fraiser on Stargate SG-1, which she played from the show's beginning in 1997 through 2004 (and again as a guest appearance in 2006).

Rothery has appeared in many other sci-fi series, including The X-Files; The Outer Limits; First Wave; Stargate SG-1; Jeremiah; M.A.N.T.I.S.; Kyle XY; Eureka and many others. She played a small role in the Babylon 5 direct-to-DVD movie, Voices in the Dark, as ISN Reporter, Ms. Chambers. She played Lenore Molee in the 1994 TV movie, For the Love of Nancy; and has also done voice acting work. In 2010, she was on the Battlestar Galactica prequel, Caprica, as Evelyn (the mother of Battlestar Galactica's Admiral William Adama). Her most recent work has been her role in A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!, where she plays Mrs. Turner (Timmy Turner's mom). The movie premiered July 9, 2011, at 8 pm (ET/PT), on Nickelodeon. This was followed by A Fairly Odd Christmas on November 29, 2012.

Most recently, Rothery has been acting in theater in her native Vancouver — appearing in Kiss Me, Kate and The Taming of the Shrew in March 2006. In March 2007 she appeared in A Delicate Balance, a play by Edward Albee, for which she was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award.

Rothery starred in the Canadian premiere of Good Boys and True, written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and directed by Jeff Hyslop. The play ran at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver in 2009.

Rothery has been nominated for four Leo Awards. In 2004 she was nominated in two categories: Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series for the Stargate SG-1 episode "Lifeboat", and Best Guest Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series on The Collector.[4] In 2008 she was nominated in the category: Best Performance by a Female in a Short Drama for her work in the short film Coffee Diva.[5] In 2009 she was nominated in the category: Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series for the episode "Sound of Loneliness" from The Guard.
