On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, Sully's still strong as the newbies all fall short. The next group of contenders for the crown are magnificent, including Storks and the remake of the Magnificent Seven. Can an animated comedy or a western succeed where the Blair Witch, Bridget Jones, and Snowden could not?

Moving to home entertainment, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back, as are the Neighbors and the Free State of Jones. Digital video brings the Purge and a new look at the legend of Tarzan, and television rings up an idiosyncratic mystery tale in Twin Peaks. Finally, the classics celebrate an eigthieth birthday with a thirtieth anniversary.

Add in your weekly news with the Quick Flicks, and you have a brand new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, exclusively on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, we return to the podcasting airwaves as Tom Hanks returns to the number one position with the story of Sully and the Miracle on the Hudson. Coming up against the airline captain are sequels and real world drama including Bridget Jones, the Blair Witch, and Edward Snowden.

Moving to home entertainment, Marvel declares Civil War, the Warrens return to the Conjuring, and a shark terrorizes Blake Lively in The Shallows. Television gets a Big Bang, a trip to Longmire, and a visit from Madam Secretary. We wrap that section with a look back on Stand By Me and the Transformers. Add in a bit of news about a certain fedora-clad archeologist and an unofficial fan film, and you have a brand new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, exclusively on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition Dragon Con Double Header edition of The Weekly Podioplex, the box office was breathless as Don't Breathe dethroned the Suicide Squad, and even with a mediocre box office performance, Jason Statham still scored a victory in Mechanic: Resurrection. The next two will test the winning thriller with romance, drama, comedy, and the real life tale of Sully.

In home entertainment, the next two weeks are big with The Jungle Book, Me Before You, Now You See Me 2, and Money Monster dominating the discs. DC Comics delivers on TV with The Flash and Arrow arriving alongside Star Wars Rebels, Grey's Anatomy, and Supernatural. We also get a blast from the past as Charlie's Angels open their investigation and Star Trek boldly goes to a 50th anniversary.

Add in the finest selection of entertainment news from across the internet, and you have a jam-packed new edition of The Weekly Podioplex to tide you over until after the Labor Day weekend, exclusively on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, the bad guys took a box office turkey as the Suicide Squad continues to dominate the box office. If swords and sandals, gunner runners, and fantasy adventurers can't defeat the Squad, do Don't Breathe, Mechanic: Resurrection, or Hands of Stone stand a chance?

This week is a big one for television on the home screen as The Walking Dead, Legends of Tomorrow, Castle, Elementary, and more make their way to disc. Add in a disc debut for Winter's War, a man-cub on digital, and a bowl of news in the Quick Flicks for dessert, and you have a new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, only on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, the bad guys kept the newbies at bay, but the Sausage Party and Pete's Dragon still performed well in their opening frames. Their days may be numbered as a sword-and-sandals epic gets a modern remake this week, and one has to wonder if Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad withstand Ben-Hur?

This week also welcomes Denise Lhamon to The Chronic Rift family as joins the show and ushers in the return of the Quick Flicks. Add in some Angry Birds, the story of Raiders, Gotham, Once Upon a Time, and The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension, and you have a new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, only on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, Amanda Waller and her crazy idea took over the box office and defied critics as Suicide Squad walked away with the gold. The real test comes this week as Harley Quinn and company face off against Disney's newest live-action fairy tale remake in Pete's Dragon. How will the bad guys stand up against the pure innocence of Pete and Elliott?

The home entertainment front is TV heavy this week, spotlighting the effervescent Supergirl, the suspenseful 11.22.63, and the adventure of NCIS: New Orleans. Add in a dash of Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman as another classics comes to Blu-Ray, and you have a new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, only on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, Star Trek warps into number one on a profitable weekend, defeating the pets, the Ice Age, and scares in the dark. The Enterprise (or what's left of her) has star power, but so does super-agent Jason Bourne, who makes his return to theaters after a while off. Can Kirk defeat Bourne, or will the Enterprise crash and burn?

On the home entertainment front, The Boss and Hardcore Henry make their disc debuts, and the Joker takes a dark swing at the Caped Crusader as The Killing Joke comes to digital. We also get another movie marathon on the Satellite of Love, a new Criterion release, and a brief look at the month of August as we wrap up a new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, only on The Chronic Rift Network.

On an all-new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, we celebrate a fifth merry un-birthday for the show since we missed the actual date last month. In lieu of wood or silverware, we'll take the Ghostbusters, which couldn't overcome The Secret Life of Pets, but did well with a new record and positive reactions. Of course, Captain Kirk and the Enterprise are bearing down as Star Trek Beyond hits theaters this week, leaving us to wonder how well two franchise sequels will do head to head.

On the home entertainment front, two other goliaths clash as Batman and Superman bring the Dawn of Justice, Back to the Future and Ghostbusters both get new documentaries, and TV on DVD gets post-apocalyptic with The 100, a whole lot of Tatiana Maslanys with Orphan Black, and a Person of Interest boxset for spice. Wrap it up with a look back at the 1920s as The Daughter of Dawn comes to Blu-Ray, and you have a new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, only on The Chronic Rift Network.

After a three-week break, The Weekly Podioplex is back! On an all-new edition, Dory is still swimming strong after four weeks, but she couldn't outrun the Secret Life of Pets. The pets have spooky competition the week as the controversial Ghostbusters reboot is ready to take the stage. Can the thirty-year old brand overcome the grumpy fans and prove that it's the one to call?

On the home entertainment front, The Divergent Series: Allegiant and Green Room dominate the movies while iZombie and Slasher make their way to TV on DVD. To top it all off, Universal refreshes things with pop art Blu-Rays from the Past as a new edition of The Weekly Podioplex, only available on The Chronic Rift Network, floods into your earbuds.

On an all-new triple feature edition of The Weekly Podioplex, it was a good week to be lost under the sea as Finding Dory found box office gold and a slew of new records. The forgetful blue tang faces some steep competition over the next three weeks as your podcast host takes a vacation, including Independence Day: Resurgence, The BFG, and The Secret Life of Pets. Can Dory withstand box office fire of that magnitude?

On the home entertainment front, the list is a who's who of spring releases playing companion to the high-definition adventures of the Ninth Doctor. Add on a threesome of Blu-ray classics, and it's an edition of The Weekly Podioplex that is stuffed to the gills on The Chronic Rift Network.
